New Beginnings

Well, it looks like I’m officially a blogger. Who would have thought?

I mean out of all people I would never expect myself to ever EVER write just for grins. There are so many more entertaining and English savvy people out there, it is hard to compare myself to them. For instance, my friend Lexi (check her out here), passed through AP English with flying colors while shopping on the internet during class. I sat next to her, barely scraping out a high “B” by taking notes. And then there is Julia, my BBSABBF (it stands for Best Boston Stretching Arabian Barnacle Buddy Forever… don’t ask), who is going to be paid next year by The Ohio State University to blog about her life as an incoming freshman. But then again, blogging isn’t supposed to be about punctuation usage but about real life. It is not supposed to be an English book, but a conversation.

I was persuaded to write this blog not only as a way to keep in touch, but also as a way to share my uncommon life as a ballet dancer… trust me it’s not as glamorous and fascinating as it sounds. The title “Dancing in the Rain” came from the fact that I am moving to Seattle, one of the rainiest cities in the U.S., to train instead of going to college like everyone else.

So here I am, a teenager who will be having everything but the “normal” college experience, and blogging about it in the process.
